About PCI Level 1 Compliance |
Vanco Services is a PCI (Payment Card Industry) Level 1 Compliant service
provider. While PCI security standards were developed for the payment card
industry, Vanco has taken the additional steps to implement them across its
entire e.service® line
of electronic payment solutions. These standards were developed by the founding
payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American
Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa
International to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security
measures on a global basis. PCI compliance is a comprehensive standard intended
to help organizations proactively protect customer account data.
Companies are divided into four categories based upon transaction volume.
Level 1—the highest level—is comprised of those companies with
the very highest transaction volumes. The designation "Level 1 Compliant" is
reserved for large volume organizations like Vanco that pass rigorous independent
on-site audits annually in addition to other critical assessments. |
